They use high-quality animal hair such as weasel hair, which provides excellent stiffness and is superior for fine writing and large-format calligraphy, making them a favorite among many calligraphy enthusiasts. Key Features and Details: * Brand/Manufacturer: Koyama-zo (Koyama Fukueido), Kumano Brush * Hair Quality: Primarily uses high-grade weasel hair, characterized by its smoothness and appropriate resilience (stiffness). * Usage: Suitable for creating works that require delicate yet powerful strokes, such as kana calligraphy, large-format calligraphy, and medium-sized calligraphy. High-Quality Masurao Art Brush is a series of high-quality Japanese painting and coloring brushes handled by Namura Taiseido. Made from a careful selection and blend of multiple pure materials such as specially selected wool, deer hair, and ten-tail hair, these brushes hold ink well, allow for supple brushwork, and are suitable for a wide range of boneless painting techniques (a technique that depicts forms with masses rather than lines). * Usage: Japanese painting, watercolor painting, calligraphy,絵手紙 (picture letters), etc. * Characteristics: The brush tip is well-gathered and has appropriate stiffness.
