Thank you for viewing. Delaware Grapevine - 2 Seedling Plants No greeting is necessary for this transaction. # Mercari's biggest advantage is anonymous shipping. Please feel secure in your transaction. # To reduce stress on the roots, the plant will be shipped in the pot shown in the photo. We hope it will be cared for by someone who will cherish it. # As I am not a professional, please consider purchasing from an authorized dealer if you require strict varietal accuracy. Please understand that the condition of the leaves changes daily. The changes will become more pronounced from mid-August onwards as we head into the deciduous season. # Although anonymous shipping is more expensive, we have set a reasonable price, so please refrain from price negotiations. Price Breakdown # Item Price (Main Body ￥650) # Mercari Shipping (￥520) # Mercari Fees (￥130) These seedlings have overwintered and sprouted. With a germination rate of about 5%, these are very resilient seedlings. Wild seedlings are said to have strong vigor and their fruit has a more intense, natural sweetness. As this is pesticide-free, there are some insect-eaten leaves. They grow vigorously with pesticide-free cultivation and a small amount of organic fertilizer. Even beginners can easily grow them. As the plants mature, they will bear fruit so abundantly that thinning will be necessary. To maintain beautiful fruit, a little extra effort to protect the fruit from rain is recommended. The fruit is very sweet. Various birds will visit when the fruit ripens. No watering is necessary if planted directly in the ground. They will grow vigorously if trained on a trellis or pergola and exposed to plenty of sunlight. The area under the leaves will feel very cool even in the midsummer heat. # From late spring when it starts to warm up, new shoots will grow rapidly, providing an enjoyable time. The more you care for them, the more they will reward your efforts. They develop surprisingly deep roots, so if planting in a pot, please prepare a large one or repot into a larger pot each year. For soil, you can use potting soil purchased at a home improvement store, or mix your garden soil with leaf mold, akadama soil, etc. Watering is essential for potted plants. Fertilize from November to mid-December. Slow-release organic fertilizer is recommended. Once the plants mature, prune them drastically from December to February. Fruiting is expected around the third year, but please thin the fruit without being greedy. The 3rd and 4th photos show actual clusters of fruit that have ripened.
