| Product details |
・A violin bow, believed to be of European origin, featuring distinctive design elements characteristic of older instruments. ・Based on its overall appearance and craftsmanship, we believe it may be of German or French origin. ・The material is Pernambuco wood. ・The workshop/maker is unknown, and this is a no-stamp bow without any maker's marks. ・Acquired through an overseas auction. ・A Pernambuco wood position marker is embedded at the pinky position. --- ■Markings and Provenance ・There is no maker's mark on the stick. ・There is a XV// stamp on the slide. (This may indicate a grade, but details are unknown.) ・As this item has not been appraised, the exact place of manufacture, age, and workshop are unknown. ・Please make your judgment based on the provided photos. --- ■Specifications and Condition ・The frog is made of nickel silver. ・The wrapping is 0.3mm pure silver wire with black lizard leather. 【Adjustments and Repairs Performed】 ・Head repair (Pernambuco wood splicing) ・Tip replacement ・Warp and bend correction ・Abalone slide replacement ・Cleaning ・Rehairing (Mongolian horsehair) ※Rehairing was performed in November 2025. ・The bow has not been used since rehairing, and rosin has not been applied. ・Weight: 59.0g ・Currently, there are no warps or bends that would affect playability. --- ■Reason for Special Pricing (訳アリ理由) ・There is a chip on the frog near the abalone slide. ・Due to wear at the tip of the head, Pernambuco wood was added during the tip replacement. ・As this is an old bow, the screw hole is slightly enlarged, causing the button to appear slightly lower. None of these issues affect playability, but please understand them as conditions typical of old instruments. --- ■Notes ・Please bid with the understanding that this is an old and used item. ・Please be sure to check the photos for the condition and any repaired areas.
