GoogleA.i Quote While precise current new retail price data for the Josef Lorenz 1401A is scarce, past sales information and market trends suggest that the set price was around 300,000 yen or more, with the instrument alone also commanding a considerable price. 1. Josef Lorenz 1401A Price and Market Situation Estimated Original Retail Price: Yamaha was once the importer, and the 1401A was positioned as a mid-range model in their lineup. The total set price at the time was considered to be in the class of over 300,000 yen. Used Market Price: Examples of adjusted instruments being sold for approximately 130,000 to 165,000 yen (tax included) can be found at specialized string instrument shops and e-commerce sites. 2. Model Features Style: A handmade Stradivarius model characterized by beautiful tiger flame maple. Materials: Made from carefully selected European natural wood by skilled master craftsmen, it is praised for its warm and bright tone. That's all. This is my first time stocking Josef Lorenz violins, and I must say, the craftsmanship is excellent, the appearance is beautiful, and the sound is well-balanced. This time, I noticed some dirt, so while polishing and cleaning, I took photos of the inside from the endpin hole (3rd photo). The sound post in the center is truly beautiful, and the area around the neck block is wonderful overall. ^_^ There is some varnish cracking on the back, but it's nearly 30 years old, so it adds character. ^_^ It comes with the inspection certificate from Yamaha, the former importer. *Recently, even with mass-produced items like these, there are counterfeits that only have a label. Even if the exterior is beautiful, the internal craftsmanship can be very sloppy, so I will post as many interior photos as possible. Bow: No brand, but a Parisian eye model with good hair, so no replacement is needed. Weight is approximately 61g. Chin Rest: KUN brand Case: Included Bridge: Aubert, 3 stars Please understand that this is a used item. *As this is by no means an inexpensive item, please comment if you have any concerns about the details or would like additional photos, and purchase only after you are satisfied. *This item is also listed on other platforms, so the first to sell will be prioritized.
