This item has been sold and is no longer available for purchase. Thank you for your understanding. [Overhauled] Huller German-made Bassoon - All Pads Replaced - Kruspe This bassoon has undergone a complete overhaul, including the replacement of all pads, at a specialized double-reed workshop in Tokyo. Significant time and expense have been invested in its maintenance. This is a Kruspe (G.H. Huller) bassoon, which was on par with Adler and Sonor brands from Germany at the time. Yamaha imported Kruspe models, which were made in the same factory. However, models imported by Global were sold under the Huller brand. This is a high-end bassoon made from East German maple. Repair Details: Overhaul All pad replacement Overall adjustment Thread replacement and rewrapping on joints Gasket replacement And more, totaling over 100,000 yen. Generally, older wood used for bassoons is considered superior to current materials, as it has been dried slowly and has a denser grain, resulting in a better tone. This is similar to the reason why Stradivarius violins are so highly regarded. While Huller and Kruspe are sometimes considered slightly inferior to Adler and Schreiber, they are masterpieces crafted by German artisans. Recently, we have seen more inexpensive Chinese-made instruments, but the playing feel of a German-made instrument is still solid. There are some signs of wear on the body and plating due to use and age. Accessories: Handrest Case (Fox) Bocal This is a fine example of a good quality, vintage German-made bassoon. The price of bassoons themselves is also increasing, and this instrument has undergone a major adjustment including the replacement of all pads during its overhaul, so it should not require any adjustments for some time. We are offering this well-maintained German-made bassoon at a reasonable price, so please consider it. Some negotiation on the price is possible. Click here for the manufacturer's site
