These are super cool! 1960s MCM design. Set of 8 retro waffle-style plastic coasters in mod yellow and white, each with a raised waffle grid in the contrasting color (4 yellow with white grids, 4 white with yellow). Stack them and they read like a sculpture, spread them out and your bar cart or coffee table looks like a 1965 cocktail magazine. Mid-century plastic coasters had their moment from the late 1950s into the early 70s, when American plastics manufacturers made cheerful color-blocked sets for every suburban bar cart and rec-room coffee table. The waffle / raised-grid pattern is one of the most recognizable MCM coaster designs, pure 1960s entertaining culture. Details: Maker: Unmarked, likely 1960s American plastics maker Material: Molded plastic, two-tone with raised waffle grid Type: Set of 8 coasters (4 yellow + 4 white) Size: 5 by 5 Era: 1960s Condition: These are in great vintage condition- they have the tiniest bit of discoloration under the grid of one coaster- hard to see unless you really look.
