Cary Draw OUT button This is a stylus force gauge for measuring the stylus pressure of your record player. Brand: Cary (Switzerland) It is used to properly adjust the force (weight) with which the stylus at the tip of the tonearm presses down on the record surface when playing records. Main Uses and Features Each record player cartridge has a specified optimal stylus pressure (e.g., 1.5g to 2.0g). If the stylus pressure is too light, it can easily cause skipping or distortion. If it is too heavy, it can damage the record or the stylus tip. This tool is typically used in the following steps: Button Operation: Follow the instructions on the case, Before placing - draw out button / Before removing - push button, by pulling out the button before measuring and pushing it back in when finished. Measurement: Place the gauge on the turntable, gently place the stylus tip on the designated measurement point, and fine-tune the tonearm's weight while checking the scale. While digital stylus force gauges are common nowadays, analog precision tools like this remain popular among audio enthusiasts. If you have a record player at home, this is an essential item for sound quality adjustment. - Model: Analog - Display: Scale - Accessories: Storage case - Country of Origin: Switzerland Thank you for looking.
