- Brand: 3M - Model: DP-900N3 - Capacity: 1,000ml - Application: Primer for Dyne-A-Coat Film This liquid enhances the adhesion of Dyne-A-Coat Film when it's difficult to apply. It's especially recommended for applications requiring high adhesion. It offers excellent heat resistance, plasticizer resistance, and alkali resistance. It is effective when applying Dyne-A-Coat Film over existing film, or when applying to materials such as vinyl-coated steel, plastics (excluding polyethylene, polypropylene, and fluororesins), mortar, asbestos cement board, and wood. - Basic Usage Instructions: 1. Prepare the substrate: If the substrate is already smooth, no preparation is needed. If it's rough, smooth the surface with sandpaper or similar. Fill any uneven areas with putty and then sand. 2. Clean the surface: Remove dirt, debris, and oil from the substrate surface using a cloth dampened with thinner or alcohol. 3. Apply the primer: Apply evenly with a brush or similar tool. The application area per liter is 15-30m2 (varies depending on the substrate. For highly absorbent substrates, apply two or three coats). 4. Drying: Drying time varies depending on ambient temperature, humidity, and application amount, but 15 to 30 minutes is optimal. When using Primer DP-900N3 in winter (around 10°C), allow 3 hours for drying. 5. Cleaning: Remove excess primer from brushes and surrounding areas with lacquer thinner (wipe off before the primer fully cures). - Precautions: - Store this product below 38°C. If left open, it will react with moisture in the air and its performance as a primer will decrease. Transfer only the amount needed to a separate container for use. - Perform primer application work in a well-ventilated area. - Do not use if it becomes cloudy; discard it. - If the viscosity becomes too high, dilute only the amount to be used with lacquer thinner. - It will turn brownish-yellow when exposed to ultraviolet light, so wipe off any excess before it hardens. - This product and its vapor are flammable.
