You can also use the leaf color to your advantage in mixed plantings, hanging baskets, or wall decorations, allowing the branches to trail. Vitaceae family, cold-hardy shrub (vining, deciduous in winter). Cold and heat tolerance: Strong. Watering: When the surface soil is dry. Location: Full sun to partial shade. A well-shaped, five-lobed leaf with white splashes of variegation throughout. Each leaf has a unique pattern, making this ivy highly ornamental. It maintains its beautiful leaf color for a long period from spring until it sheds its leaves in winter, and turns a magnificent red in autumn. It also sprouts roots from its vines and climbs walls, but its growth is gentler and easier to manage compared to wild American ivy. It has a seasonal feel and can be enjoyed throughout the four seasons. From the internet: Pruning is not often necessary; only trim when it grows too long. If you prefer to keep it compact and bushy rather than letting it grow long, you can prune it frequently. It is strong against trimming, and the pruning season does not matter. (Pruning is OK even during the lush growth of summer or the deciduous period of winter.) ??The pot will be removed, some soil will be shaken off, and it will be packed with moist paper or similar material for hydration.
