Sow in the pathways of your fields to eliminate weeds and suppress pests and diseases. Aphids, in particular, will drastically decrease as beneficial insects that prey on pests are attracted to the area. Furthermore, the barley roots will grow deep into the soil, reducing nematodes. The spreading barley leaves in the pathways also help to cool the area during the summer heat and prevent mud splash during rainfall. It's truly a three- or four-in-one solution! This amount of seed can cover approximately 20 tsubo (66 square meters) when intercropped in field pathways. Some people boast about having completely weed-free field pathways. However, a scene where only your preferred vegetables grow in perfect order is highly unnatural in the ecosystem. It's as if you're beckoning pests, saying, Here's a great feeding ground, come on over! Even if people point and criticize your fields for being overgrown with weeds, simply ignore them. This is approximately 30cm tall barley. Since it's barley, it's okay to walk on it. If sown between April and June, it won't head out. It will wither in mid-summer, turning into mulch and continuing to suppress weeds. Once cultivation is complete, incorporate it into the soil to replenish organic matter, aligning with modern SDG principles. With fertilizer prices soaring, actively utilize green manure! Perfect for those who dislike pest and disease damage, want to minimize pesticide use, want to suppress weeds but avoid herbicides! The key is to sow after creating your field ridges and pathways, before weeds germinate. Highly praised by professional farmers, with an increasing number of repeat customers each year. To sow, broadcast the seeds, level with a rake, and compact by treading. You can also do a row sowing with approximately 15cm spacing. For larger areas, using a seeder like Tanemaki Gonbei is efficient. Expiration Date: February, Year 27 (Reiwa) Germination Rate: 85% or higher We are repackaging large bags developed and sold by Takii Seed for easier use. We will include a copy of the explanation by Dr. Takeshi Shimoda of the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization, which explains the technique of preventing pests and diseases by mixing green manure. Please use it as a reference. Please note that due to the nature of seeds, we cannot accept returns or exchanges.
