Extend Goniometer (New) / Angle Measurer (Protractor) A protractor is a stationery tool for measuring angles. This tool can measure angles and also measure lengths as a ruler. ① A normal protractor has angle markings on a semicircle to measure angles. The semicircular part in this photo has that function. ② This goniometer is integrated with a 20cm ruler (base arm), and the ruler has an additional 10cm extension function. Therefore, the total length from the end of the goniometer to the end of the ruler is 30cm. ③ A ruler-marked axis (moving arm) is semi-fixed at the center of this goniometer and rotates on the angle markings to indicate the angle. Furthermore, this moving arm extends 10cm, similar to the base arm. ④ By adjusting the lengths of the aforementioned (base arm) and (moving arm), it becomes easier to measure angles of large parts. In the medical field, particularly in rehabilitation and orthopedic departments, it is used as a tool (extend goniometer) to examine joint angles, bone deformities, etc. This single tool can measure joint angles regardless of joint size. ⑤ When the (base arm) and (moving arm) are opened to 180° and both arms are extended to their maximum, the length from the end of the moving arm to the end of the base arm becomes a maximum of 53cm, allowing for the measurement of femur length. ⑥ The extending structure of these (base arm) and (moving arm) has obtained Patent No. 5527666, and no other angle measurer (extend goniometer) like this can be found anywhere in the world, not just in Japan. ⑦ Easy to measure deformities on X-ray and CT images. ⑧ The X-ray photo in the 4th image measures spinal curvature using the Ferguson method: 25° ⑨ The X-ray photo in the 5th image measures spinal curvature using the Cobb method: 25° ⑩ The X-ray photo in the 6th image shows the neck-shaft angle of the right femur: 140° (The photo was not taken at the projection angle for measuring the neck-shaft angle, so the neck-shaft angle appears larger than the true value, but the measurement itself is performed like this.) ? The X-ray photo in the 7th image measures the range of motion of the left knee joint. ? The X-ray photo in the 8th image measures the FTA angle of the left knee joint: 184° (Varus knee: bow-legged) ? The X-ray photo in the 9th image shows deformity healing after a left tibial fracture: 15° anterior tilt and Osteoarthritis of the left ankle joint, plantarflexion angle: 40° ? The X-ray photo in the 10th image shows flexion of the right elbow joint: 86° ? The main body is made of acrylic. Alcohol-based disinfectants cannot be used.
