This is a cutting seedling of the Yama Ajisai variety Kaikyo. We do not have many available for sale. If you are looking for one, please act quickly... The cold-season cuttings have been transplanted into pots. They are growing vigorously. We will ship them in their pots, so they can continue to grow as is. To ensure the fastest possible delivery regardless of when you purchase, we will ship on either a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. Mail is delivered on weekends, and typically reaches the Kanto region within 3 days. Yama Ajisai are small hydrangeas. Please compare their size to a plastic bottle. This Yama Ajisai was discovered on Jeju Island in South Korea. The deep blue petals of the surrounding decorative florets are very beautiful. The central fertile flowers are also magnificent. It has slightly rounded sepals and a flat-topped bloom. You can enjoy its changing appearance from the beginning to the end of its bloom. Kaikyo makes excellent cut flowers, as they absorb water well and last a long time. The Ikebana arrangement in the photo was made over a week ago. This is an easy-to-grow Yama Ajisai that is vigorous and healthy. When growing a tree that will be a long-term companion in your garden, starting from a small seedling makes it even more endearing. It is planted in well-draining soil for blue hydrangeas (Kanuma soil, Akadama soil, peat moss). We want the seedling you purchase to thrive. Shipping as a bare-root cutting when small can cause stress, leading to stunted growth or failure to bloom. Therefore, we ship them in their pots to minimize stress. The soil surface will be covered with wet sphagnum moss, wrapped in paper, and placed vertically in a plastic bottle with ventilation holes. It will be shipped via Fourth Class Mail. Fourth Class Mail is standard mail. Due to the time required for packaging and shipping in pots with soil, there are associated shipping costs. Therefore, we cannot offer discounts. We have many other Yama Ajisai varieties listed. We offer a ￥50 discount on the total price only when combined with other seedlings. We are also listing this item on other sites. It will be removed once a buyer is found. Yama Ajisai Yama Ajisai Mountain Hydrangea Tea Ceremony Flower Click here for the manufacturer's site
