This premium fermented substrate is made from 100% Quercus acutissima (Japanese evergreen oak) sawdust, which has been proven most effective for rhinoceros beetles through years of research, using the highest quality Himalayan Oyster Mushroom mycelium. We've added several types of special amino acids and bacterial agents that promote the growth of Japanese rhinoceros beetle larvae. By incorporating bacteria, the symbiotic microorganisms within the digestive tract become more active, breaking down cellulose into protein sources and improving nutrient absorption. Feeding this from the early larval stages leads to larger adult beetles. Experiments have shown that larvae raised on this premium fermented substrate, rich in symbiotic microorganisms like internal bacteria, grow significantly larger than those raised on commercially available substrates. We crush new mycelium substrate made from Quercus acutissima sawdust and carefully undergo a triple fermentation process for an extended period in a controlled indoor environment. (We do not use waste mycelium substrate discarded by mushroom farms, unlike cheaper products from other companies.) This is our ultimate, meticulously crafted substrate, developed over a long time and at a significant cost. Most common fermented substrates from other companies primarily use waste mycelium substrate discarded by mushroom farms, resulting in reduced nutritional value. Furthermore, inexpensive substrates are often fermented outdoors, leading to the inclusion of various insects and fly eggs, which can infest your breeding setup. Our Fermented Substrate is made exclusively from new mycelium substrate, fermented slowly in a controlled indoor environment, ensuring a 100% absence of unwanted insects, so no pests or flies will appear during breeding! We've had numerous Guinness-record-sized beetles emerge, and thanks to your support, our repeat customer rate is over 90%, making this a highly popular substrate. The Himalayan Oyster Mushroom mycelium, which rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles prefer most, is expensive and difficult to obtain.
