Click here for Stag Beetle & Rhinoceros Beetle Products on Mercari! Sterilized Kawara Wood Block Special Extra Large L Size Listing Please see the 14 photos above. This is a spawning item made by inoculating and culturing Kawaratake fungus on Quercus (oak) and Konara wood. Currently in short supply and difficult to obtain. 1 block: ￥2,899 (Free Shipping) We can combine shipping for multiple sets, so please contact us if you have a desired number of blocks. This product is highly effective for spawning Golden Hercules Stag Beetles, Lucanus titanus, and Lucanus elaphus. Because it is sterilized, unlike regular spawning wood, the block will not mold, making it easy for beginners to use. No pre-soaking is required. After many years of repeated experiments, we have commercialized sterilized Kawara wood blocks that are exceptionally effective for spawning Lucanus titanus, Lucanus elaphus, and Golden Hercules Stag Beetles, which were traditionally considered very difficult to breed. It is now an indispensable item for spawning Lucanus titanus, Lucanus elaphus, and Golden Hercules Stag Beetles. Compatible with various types of stag beetles and spawning setups. The manufacturing process involves high-pressure sterilization, so there are no residual insects. While some species may not lay eggs in regular spawning wood, they will lay eggs in sterilized Kawara wood blocks, and an unbelievable number of larvae can be obtained. It has become the ultimate item for stag beetle spawning. The number of eggs laid by Japanese rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles also increases dramatically compared to regular spawning wood. To set up, simply peel off the bark and bury it in the substrate. We also sell high-quality fermented substrate suitable for burying the blocks, which can be shipped together if desired. [Kawara Wood Block Storage Method] Kawara wood blocks are essentially a form of fungal substrate. Therefore, their storage method and shelf life should be considered the same as fungal substrate. If stored at room temperature (especially high temperatures), decomposition will progress daily, making the blocks soft and deteriorating. For long-term storage, it is best to keep them in a cool, dark place at 3°C to 5°C. Also suitable for: Giant Stag Beetle Ho-pe Stag Beetle Sawtooth Stag Beetle Prosopocoilus inclinatus Grandis Stag Beetle Antaeus Stag Beetle Rainbow Stag Beetle Colorful Beetles Dorcus hopei Prosopocoilus clavatus Prosopocoilus maculifemoratus Prosopocoilus dissimilis Dorcus various species Dorcus donckieri Dorcus umbrahangii Prosopocoilus mirabilis and more. Can be used for all types of fungus-based stag beetles. Fungus used: Kawaratake (Pleurotus ostreatus) Wood: Quercus (oak) and Konara Special Extra Large L Size: Diameter 10-14cm Unlike Reishi wood, this also serves as food for the larvae.
