This is a visor from the DePaul Blue Demons, the student athletic team of DePaul University in Chicago, USA. The DePaul University sports teams, founded in 1898, wear uniforms featuring a large D for DePaul. This led commentators and fans to start calling the players D-Men (Men of DePaul). In the 1920s, this similar pronunciation evolved into Demons (Devil), which was later officially adopted through student votes and other means. The school colors are blue and red, which are also combined in this visor. This particular item uses a NIKE body with a vermilion swoosh embroidered on the brim. The central logo features DIBS, a demon in a blue suit, embroidered on it. DIBS stands for Demon In a Blue Suit. It's unusual for a Catholic university to have a Devil as its mascot. The visual design is one that sparks a desire for fashion. The Velcro size adjustment has some buffer, so we believe it can be worn by both men and women. ⚫︎ Size Head circumference: 51 - 61cm (adjustable by ±5cm around 56cm) Brim length: 7.5cm Brim width: 16cm *Please allow for slight errors. ⚫︎ Color Blue ⚫︎ Material Not specified ⚫︎ Country of Origin Not specified ⚫︎ Condition There is some fuzziness on the inner liner. There are no other noticeable external damages. As this is a used/vintage item, there may be minor stains or deterioration from storage that are not immediately apparent. We interpret these as part of the charm and appeal of vintage clothing and items. We kindly ask for your understanding in this regard before making a purchase. *If you have any questions about the product, please feel free to contact us.
