A very atmospheric lighting fixture made by Hitachi, Ltd. over 50 years ago (1972). It combines a round milky white glass globe with a heavy wooden base, giving it a unique presence that cannot be found in current products. The wooden base has a well-used patina and matches perfectly with traditional Japanese houses, antique, and industrial spaces. [Condition and Specifications] ? Manufacturing Year: 1972 (Showa 47) ? Manufacturer: Hitachi, Ltd. (Wooden base features a 100+ year old 1-sho masu attached) ? Size: (Wooden base width 17*17*9 cm, total height approx. 32 cm) ? Operation: Confirmed to light up (see images). ? Power: Household outlet (100V) ? Bulb: E26 base (standard size. Currently has an incandescent bulb, but can be replaced with an LED bulb) [Product Features] ? Soft light through milky white glass warmly illuminates your room. ? The wooden base has scratches and holes due to age, but is recommended for those who can enjoy them as character of a vintage item. ? The cord was replaced about 10 years ago. Please use this old electrical appliance at your own risk. It has been carefully stored, but is being sold due to decluttering. We recommend this item to those who understand old and antique items. #ShowaRetro #Vintage #AntiqueLighting #Hitachi #OldTools #Industrial #IndirectLighting #MilkyWhiteGlass #1970s Thank you for viewing.
