Rare Stepped Leica IIIc with Summar 5cm f2 Set - Good Working Condition, Cleaned This is the Leica IIIc Stepped model, which boasts exceptional popularity among collectors of Barnack Leicas. This time, we are offering it as a set with the renowned Summar 5cm f2 lens. [About the Unit] The serial number indicates that this unit was manufactured during World War II. Due to material shortages of the time, the chrome plating on IIIc models from this era is thin. This particular unit shows brass exposure in areas such as the corners. However, this adds to the character unique to wartime models, giving it a very substantial aura befitting a vintage Leica. [Condition] ■ Exterior While there is some plating wear, there are no major dents or scratches, including on the top plate. Considering its age, it is in beautiful condition. ■ Operation The shutter operates at all speeds, from slow to fast, changing according to the selected speed. Winding is also smooth. ■ Viewfinder The viewfinder is very clear. The double image is sharp, allowing for stress-free focusing. ■ Lens (Summar 5cm f2) The exterior shows age-appropriate wear, but the optical system is clear with only minor dust and small specks. There is no significant fogging or fungus that would affect image quality, making this a unit that allows you to enjoy the delicate rendering characteristic of the Summar lens. [Set Contents] - Camera Body (Leica IIIc Stepped) - Lens (Summar 5cm f2 Collapsible) This is a valuable piece, both as a rare historical artifact and as a functional camera. We hope to pass it on to someone who will cherish it, understanding that it is an old mechanical product. Click here for the manufacturer's site
