Steelpan, low tenor. Includes hanging stand and mallets. *Product Condition* Near new condition, but as this is a handmade product, there are minor scratches. Tuning is not an issue. Includes a simple height-adjustable hanging stand and new mallets. *Product Description* This is a relatively new instrument made from oil drums. Mass production is still limited, and these instruments are almost entirely handmade. This particular item has been crafted entirely by hand, from the initial shaping. It has a unique atmosphere, blending ruggedness and delicacy, without feeling like a toy. It has 29 notes, starting from C, arranged in the same pattern as the circle of fifths. It's fun to just hit it and make sounds, but it also has the depth to handle everything from existing songs to original compositions. Test play welcome. *Additional Information* The skirt of the steelpan body has been flared for acoustic properties and improved rigidity. Includes a simple wooden steelpan stand. It has 4 levels of height adjustment. Comes with new mallets. They are rubber-wrapped, making it easy to produce high notes. This item is also listed on other sites, so it may be removed from this listing if sold elsewhere. Currently undergoing heat cycling & price reduction. As of 4/27, the low-frequency range has been further enhanced through breaking-in and stabilization. ¥185,000 → ¥152,500 Please comment for sound confirmation. Click here for the manufacturer's site
