Extra-long shakuhachi! A 2 shaku 5 sun 5 bu shakuhachi by Takeji Mei☆ This is a 2 shaku 4 sun G# pipe, tuned to the standard scale! This is a fine instrument that produces a very deep Otsu no Ro sound! This is an ultra-long pipe, longer than an A pipe, which is rarely seen! The finger holes are arranged in a straight line, not diagonally. I preferred this type because it's easier to hold once you get used to it☆ This is a 2 shaku 4 sun pipe (G# pipe). It is also sometimes referred to as a 2 shaku 5 sun 5 bu pipe. Length: approx. 780mm, Weight: approx. 530g. I used this instrument to play honkyoku (original shakuhachi pieces) and Western music☆ Sound production has been confirmed☆ [Sound] The Otsu no Ro resonates with a deep, booming sound. The sound of a long pipe is truly exceptional, and this is a fine instrument that becomes powerful with great volume! [Crack Prevention] There are vertical lines above and below the five holes, but they are firmly closed on the surface. As there has been no spreading or other issues, I have continued to use it as is. There are no problems with the sound, and all notes, including Otsu no Ro, play clearly. [Utaguchi (Mouthpiece)] Tozan style. [Joint Decoration] A wide, lacquered silver band (beta-gin)! This is believed to be a top-quality pipe from its era. There is no looseness or play in the joint. This is a rare and valuable ultra-long pipe that is hard to come by☆ ※I am also listing other shakuhachi and related items, so please take a look☆ Shakuhachi, 2 shaku 4 sun, 2.4 shaku, 2 shaku 5 sun 5 bu, 2.55 shaku, fine pipe, signed pipe, branded, G# pipe, master craftsman, old pipe, Edo, Meiji, Taisho, Showa, valuable, rare, Tozan, Kinko, Myoan, fully functional, Japanese instrument, instrument, traditional Japanese music, wind instrument, bamboo flute, Mayama, Ryuho, Ranpo, Kodo, Katsunobu Yokoyama, Kokusai Shakuhachi Kenshukan, Komuso, operation confirmed, no cracks, sound production confirmed, fully functional, shakuhachi, #shakuhachi, beta-gin, silver wrapped, silver band, top quality, long pipe, standard length, standard scale, Takeji Click here for the manufacturer's site
