This is a vintage ground wire for turntables and audio amplifiers. The price is for 1 meter. Philadelphia Insulated Wire, founded in 1898, has supported the telecommunications and industrial sectors in the United States. This product is a shell lead wire made from rare wire produced around the 1950s, featuring a black enamel solid core copper conductor, which had been stored wound on its original wooden spool. Symbolized by the branded wooden spool and metal eyelets, it possesses a texture and background unique to industrial materials made in the era before mass production rationalization, offering a presence unmatched by current wires. The ultra-thin and uniform black enamel thoroughly eliminates unnecessary capacitance and signal stagnation. Furthermore, the solid core structure directly transmits the subtle signals emitted by the cartridge without any degradation. The attack is fast, the decay fades naturally, and the harmonics connect effortlessly. The sound image is centered and stable, and the space expands deeply into the background. An organic and raw sound emerges, difficult to achieve with current wires. This is not just a ground wire, but a tuning part utilizing the historical asset of vintage wire. It is a single piece to bring out the potential of your records and approach the essence of analog playback. We can also produce it with a spade terminal at the same price. While Western Electric's black enamel, often compared, tends to add rich expression and energy to the sound, Philadelphia's character prioritizes signal purity, focusing on passing the sound as it is rather than tidying up the sound. You will hear new facets of familiar records with fresh clarity. We hope you will give it a try. Click here for the manufacturer's site
