【Overview】 This is a restored and repaired junk item from 50 years ago. All functions have been confirmed to be working properly. However, as it is a very old device, it is being sold as a junk item, and returns or exchanges will not be accepted in principle. Occasionally, some buyers complain about issues unrelated to basic operation, such as loud noise from one channel, slow folder opening, or dissatisfaction with the brightness of the lighting, and prolong the receipt evaluation. We are looking for buyers who understand that this is a repaired item and do not expect it to perform like new. 【Product Description】 Product: Stereo Cassette Deck Manufacturer: SONY Model Number: TC-K4 Release Date: 1976 Price: 59,800 yen 【Exterior】 The front panel and chassis show no scratches, dents, or rust. It is clean and, considering its age, is in remarkably good condition, rarely seen. 【Repairs and Adjustments】 - Complete disassembly, cleaning, and greasing of the drive mechanism (front and rear) - Complete disassembly, cleaning, and repair of the head block - Cleaning of recording and playback volume controls - Replacement of recording/playback heads - Replacement of capstan, auto-shutoff, and counter belts - Repair of auto-shutoff and cassette loading mechanisms - Repair of the first-stage equalizer circuit and intermediate amplifier circuit - Adjustment of electronic control motor speed - Adjustment of playback, recording, VU meter sensitivity, and head azimuth - Cleaning of recording/playback heads, pinch rollers, and capstan 【Operation Check】 All functions, including recording, playback, pause, fast forward, rewind, and timer standby, have been confirmed to be working. 【Sound Quality Check】 As a cassette deck that is approximately 50 years old, the sound quality is considered acceptable for music appreciation (recording and playback may be poor depending on the condition of the tape). 【Accessories】 - One test tape used for recording/playback operation checks and adjustments 【Important Notes】 - Resin parts are subject to age-related deterioration and can cause malfunctions. Please limit usage to approximately 1-2 hours per day. - Playback speed (pitch) can be finely adjusted with the semi-fixed resistor in the servo motor circuit, but this requires opening the chassis. 【Reference】 https://audio-heritage.jp/SONY-ESPRIT/player/tc-k4.html Click here for the manufacturer's site
