【Impressive 6-inch Thickness】 Standing Go Board, New Kaya (Estimated), 18cm, with Heso (Sound Hole), Wooden Cover Included, Go Game This item is being listed due to decluttering my parents' home. This is a genuine standing go board with significant thickness. A **wooden cover (paulownia wood)** for storage is also included. 【Features】 With a thickness of approximately 18cm (about 6 inches), it has a very substantial feel. While there is no certificate of authenticity for the wood, its vibrant golden hue and clear grain suggest it is **New Kaya (Spruce)**. Unlike the reddish tone of Katsura wood from the Showa era, its bright color makes it visually appealing in both Japanese and Western-style rooms. The underside features a Heso (sound receiver) carved to enhance acoustic effects. 【Accessories】 Wooden Cover (Paulownia Wood) This is a cover to protect the board. Please note that it has age-related dirt, cracks at the corners, and damage (see photos). Please consider it as a storage/protection bonus item. It will also be useful for protecting the board during shipping. 【Dimensions (Actual Measurements)】 Board Thickness: Approx. 17.5cm - 18cm (Approx. 6 inches) Board Size: Approx. 45cm (Length) x 42cm (Width) (Standard Size) Total Height (including legs): Approx. 30cm *Please allow for slight errors as these are amateur measurements. 【Condition】 Board Surface: Minor scratches and playing marks from use. Sides and Legs: Stains and dirt due to age are visible. There are no major cracks or wobbling on the board surface, and it is still in excellent condition for playing games. 【Shipping】 Due to its weight, it will be carefully packed with bubble wrap and cardboard and shipped via RakuRaku Mercari便 (Takkyubin). Although it is an old item, the 6-inch thickness truly makes a difference. How about this for those who want to start playing Go seriously, or those who want to enjoy the satisfying sound of the stones? Please review the photos and consider purchasing if you understand that this is a used item and a natural wood product.
