Unlike recent simpler versions, the lid has a substantial thickness and a sense of weight (total weight approx. 737g), reflecting the meticulous craftsmanship of the artisan. It is perfect for storing a complete set of tea ceremony utensils, and its convenient shape allows it to be used as a tray (for sweets) by flipping the lid over. [Proof of Authenticity] The lid and the underside of the main body are stamped with the mark of Kakunodate, the place of origin. Furthermore, a trademark registration number sticker (No. 1333803) remains on the underside, confirming it as a genuine traditional craft recognized by the Kakunodate Kabazaiku Cooperative Association.
