--- A Note for International Connoisseurs This is an authentic vintage find, sourced and photographed by me in Japan. What you see is its honest condition. Requests for more photos or details are welcomed. Please DM in English. Logistics: I ship within Japan. Overseas collectors can use proxy services (Buyee / FromJapan / ZenMarket) for a smooth purchase and delivery. Welcome, and thank you. --- This is a deeply flavorful Teiryōko (lifting handle teapot) with the unique character of Zisha clay, embodying the patina of its era. This piece quietly shines at the intersection of utility and appreciation, a true embodiment of the beauty of function. With a width of approximately 12cm and a height of approximately 17cm, its size fits comfortably in the hand while maintaining a distinct presence, making it suitable for any location. Adorning the front is a ring with a lion's face. It never overpowers, yet its subtle presence firmly anchors the overall elegance of the vessel. Since ancient times, the lion has symbolized protection and warding off evil. It lends a profound expression to this teapot, sometimes serene, sometimes powerful. Furthermore, the greatest charm of this piece lies, above all, in the origin of Zisha: savoring the clay itself. The unglazed body retains a natural granular texture and a moist feel, accumulating changes over time as if absorbing the user's moments. The coexistence of aged character and warmth that new pieces cannot achieve. This is the true value of this one-of-a-kind item. [Regarding the Mark] There is a mark on the bottom. It appears to be from a workshop or an individual maker, indicating craftsmanship with a discerning eye, unlike mass-produced, unmarked items. This is a piece where you can appreciate the meaning of having a mark, rather than focusing on whose mark it is. [Condition] It exhibits a calm patina due to age, but there are no cracks or chips, and it is perfectly suitable for both practical use and display. [For Those Who:] - Seek true aesthetic beauty, independent of a famous name. - Wish to incorporate the traces of handcraftsmanship and the texture of Zisha clay into their daily lives.
