Vintage handmade embroidered folk-art pillow cover, approximately 14 x 14, featuring a highly detailed colorful community cooking scene. The front is densely hand embroidered with stylized women preparing round flatbreads/food over open cooking fires, along with additional figures in the background. Bright green, blue, yellow, purple, red and orange embroidery gives the piece a distinctive African / East African folk-art aesthetic. The imagery is reminiscent of Ethiopian textile and embroidery traditions; however, there are no tags, makers marks or documentation present, so the exact country, artist and cultural origin are unknown. It is therefore being described based only on its visible style rather than attributed to a specific maker or organization. * Approx. 14 x 14 * Handmade embroidery / needlework * Colorful figurative folk-art scene * Zippered removable cover * Pillow insert not included * Maker and exact origin unknown Condition: Good vintage/pre-owned condition. The original zipper pull tab is missing, and a small string has been attached to the zipper slider so it can still be opened and closed normally. There are a few subtle spots on the back and light age/handling wear. Please review photos closely for exact condition.
