Please read our profile before purchasing. This is an authentic vintage M-43 Herringbone Twill (HBT) pants, adopted by the U.S. ARMY in the late 1940s, during the latter half of World War II (WWII). This particular item was unearthed in France, and its most distinctive feature is the clearly visible INT※MIL management stamp on the waist. This is an extremely rare detail that indicates the historical context of the French military (Intendance Militaire) managing and using surplus U.S. military supplies as their own equipment due to post-war shortages. The material is a robust herringbone twill fabric characteristic of the 1940s. All the brown plastic buttons (urea buttons), commonly found on late-model items from around 1944-1945, are present. With its large gusseted side pockets and loose silhouette, these trousers are renowned as a masterpiece of military pants.
