This is a vintage item that evokes the atmosphere of its time, having been stored with a newspaper article from the era (about Millet's great-grandson's visit to Japan). Artwork by Jay F. Miller, great-grandson of Jean-François Millet. This is a vintage art print produced in 1991. Subject: This sketch depicts a location associated with the Barbizon School, which played a significant role in 19th-century French painting. Église de Barbizon (Barbizon Church): This is the building with the distinctive spire depicted in the foreground. Théodore Rousseau's House: Located to the left and behind the church, this building was once used as a residence and studio by Théodore Rousseau, a leading painter of the Barbizon School. Barbizon is a village located at the edge of the Forest of Fontainebleau, near Paris, where many painters once gathered to depict nature as it truly was. The church and Rousseau's house are preserved to this day and are popular tourist attractions. The delicate pen-drawing touch is impressive, making this piece perfect for creating a calm and serene space. Recommended for those who love natural, antique, and cafe-style interiors. It is signed Jay F. Miller 1991, but this is a print. [Condition] - Wrinkles and creasing due to age present. - No noticeable tears. - Possesses a characteristic vintage texture. [Frame Size] Approximately 33.5cm x 43.5cm The surface is a textured thick paper. Also recommended for interior decoration, shop displays, and photography props. *Please only purchase if you understand and accept the nature of vintage items. Click here for the manufacturer's site
