Ukiyo-e print Edo Meisho Zue by Utagawa Hiroshige Period: Printed between 1850-1867 This framed print is slightly larger than a postcard and comes with an acrylic front and wooden frame. It's ready to be displayed as is. The frame is lightweight to help reduce shipping costs. This is a special item for those interested in Edo-period antiques and traditional Japanese art (antique miscellaneous goods), or for those who appreciate hanging scrolls. While there are noticeable wormholes, they serve as accents that highlight the passage of time. Furthermore, if it were in pristine condition, it would be too expensive to be sold on platforms like Mercari. Utagawa Hiroshige (1797 - October 12, 1858) was a ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period. His real name was Ando Jūemon. He was also known by his childhood name Tokutarō, and later as Jūemon, Tetsuzō, and Tokubei. He was sometimes called Ando Hiroshige, but Ando was his family name and Hiroshige was his art name, making it inappropriate to combine them. Hiroshige himself never used this combined name. He was born into the Ando family, who were hereditary fire wardens in Edo, and succeeded his father before becoming a ukiyo-e artist. He became a highly popular painter for his woodblock prints of landscapes, and influenced Western artists such as Van Gogh and Monet. (From Wikipedia) Click here for the manufacturer's site
