【Features】 1. Original oil painting by Eric Hoglund This is a one-of-a-kind piece, even more valuable than limited edition lithographs. *While Eric Hoglund is widely known as a glass artist in Japan, he debuted as a painter in 1951 (joining Boda in 1953). 2. Depicts a landscape from Crete, Greece Eric Hoglund studied in Italy and Greece in 1954 and is said to have been strongly influenced by Cretan culture and antiques (plus South American folk art). This is an important oil painting depicting a landscape that can be considered the origin of Eric Hoglund's designs. 3. Acquired at an auction held in Sweden *The auction was conducted by Stockholms Auktionsverk, the world's oldest existing auction house, so there are no issues with reliability. This is a truly precious masterpiece that you will likely never have the chance to acquire again if you miss this opportunity!! We highly recommend this to anyone who loves Erik Hoglund's work. 【Product Description】 A lovely painting depicting people working in the fields of Crete. The peaceful landscape brings a sense of calm. Signed E.Hoglund in the lower right corner of the artwork. Recommended for those who like designers such as Lisa Larson, Kaj Franck, and Oiva Toikka, and manufacturers such as Iittala, Gustavsberg, Rörstrand, and Boda. We also think it would pair well with items from minä perhonen and IDEE. 【Condition】 The oil painting itself is in excellent condition with no stains. There are stains on the matting. The frame has scratches and stains, and there are tears and stains on the back. *Please understand that this item has been cherished for over 70 years. It can be displayed as is. We leave the decision of whether to reframe it to the buyer. *Perceptions of condition can vary individually, and some aspects may not be fully conveyed through photos or text. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the inquiry section.
