◆ Saburo Fukuhara Birth Year and Origin A Japanese Western-style painter believed to have been born in the late Taisho to early Showa period. His activities are known to have been centered in the Kansai and Tokai regions, but his exact birthplace and lifespan vary depending on the literature. Art Style and Characteristics Created landscapes, still lifes, and portraits using oil and watercolor. Characterized by soft brushstrokes and color planes composed of pale hues. Active primarily in post-war group exhibitions and department store solo exhibitions. Affiliations and Exhibition History (Inferred Tendencies) Reportedly exhibited in the Nika Exhibition, Dokuritsu Exhibition, and Nichiyo Exhibition circles. Connections with local art organizations and Western painting study groups are also observed. Examples of stylistic proximity to artists of the generation listed in the Art Yearbook exist.
