MAPEX Snare Drum with Hammered Shell Design - Brand: MAPEX MAPEX Black Panther Series Persuader Snare 14 x 6.5 BPNBR465HCN Shell: Hammered Brass Size: 14 x 6.5 SONIClear Edge is standard on BP DESIGN LAB, BLACK PANTHER drum shells, allowing the drumhead to sit flatter and improving compatibility with the shell. As a result, the fundamental pitch becomes stronger and deeper, significantly expanding tuning stability and range. For professional drummers, increased contact between the head and edge enhances shell vibration, accentuating the tonal nuances of the hybrid shell. The SONIClear Edge increases contact between the drumhead and shell, strengthening shell vibration and maximizing the shell's resonance. Because the drumhead sits flat on the SONIClear Edge, tuning tension is more balanced and stress-free, allowing the drumhead to vibrate freely and fully. Thank you for looking. Purchased new last year. Used a few times for practice and live performances. No noticeable scratches or dirt. Bright, crisp sound. The snare wires have been replaced with TAMA MS42R14S snare wires (42 strands). Bolt-tighteners are attached to the batter head only. Includes original box. No returns or refunds accepted.
