Used but functional MacBook Pro ca. mid-2012. Purchased in early 2013. It is slow and it doesn't hold a good charge, but it works (see video). For the past 5 years I've only used it for CD ripping, photo storage and printing. I upgraded to 8GB of RAM about 8 years ago. I think this is one of the last models that you could take apart and work on yourself. All of the ports work fine as far as I know. (I haven't used the ethernet, Firewire or Thunderbolt in over a decade.) It has: * 2 USB 2.0 ports * SDXC memory card slot * Gigabit ethernet port * Firewire 800 port * Thunderbolt port * Audio out port 3.5mm * MagSafe charger port * security slot (no idea what to do with this) Keyboard and touchpad work well. Screen is nice--I used a protector on it for years. Case shows normal wear, but I also had a protective case on it for a long time, so it's actually not too bad. I cleaned the keyboard as well as I could. The MagSafe charger is a replacement and is a little finicky, but it works (if you connect it with the correct side up--I wrote it on the plug). It might make a big difference to buy a new charger. As of 2024, the last update it will accept is Catalina. AirDrop works great. FREE GROUND SHIPPING TO CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES Must ship ground. Please contact me directly if your shipping location isn't listed so we can discuss options.
