Purchased new and used for only 30 minutes. The cable was soldered but detached easily due to its delicate nature. It can be used by soldering it to the adhesive area. This product does not have a cone that moves like a regular speaker. Instead, a small metal rod is wrapped with a voice coil. When current is passed through the coil, the magnetic field causes the metal rod to expand and contract, turning it into a speaker when pressed against a flat surface or cavity. In many cases, transducers of this size are pressed against the jaw or ear bones, turning the skull into a speaker cavity. You can also press it against your elbow bone and hold your finger to your ear to hear audio through your arm. Since it doesn't require air, it can be covered with plastic and made into a waterproof module for use as waterproof underwater headphones for swimmers. You can also create flat speakers by pressing this product against a table or wall, or create directional speakers by directing sound in a specific direction with the rim of a plastic cup. If you intend to use this product in direct, prolonged contact with the human body, please cover the product with something to prevent sweat or other substances from entering the interior.
